We are working on a "web science" undergraduate specialization for the Computer Science major—details will be forthcoming soon. A specialization is a suggested path in the Computer Science undergrad program that does not explicitly appear on a students' transcript but that the student can note on their resume or curriculum vitae. For now, we recommend that undergraduate students interested in web science explore the Information Internetworking Thread in the Computer Science major.

Graduate students interested in web science should consider master's programs in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction or Information Security, or doctorate programs in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization, Computer Science or Human-Centered Computing.
