Georgia Tech graduate student Atish Das Parma won the Best Paper Award at the ACM Annual Symposium of Principles of Database Systems (PODS 2008) for his paper, titled Estimating PageRank on Graph Streams.

The paper describes an efficient approximation of the PageRank algorithm, which Atish developed with Sreenivas Gollapudi and Rina Panigrahy, as summer intern at Microsoft Research. It is available for download from Atish's homepage.
